Passage of the Day: Sacrifice?

It’s not sacrifice if you love you it

Something is becoming apparent. If you love someone or something, it’s not sacrifice. As I learn and mature with each mistake and experience, lessons arise. The latest of which is dealing with sacrifice.

Loving what you do is what everyone searches for. The notion of sacrificing things other people enjoy doing is a farce. You love what you do and are lucky enough to have found it. You love your partner and were lucky enough to find him/her. You’re not sacrificing anything. This is what it’s all about.

This simple reminder can be helpful in re-committing and re-dedicating yourself to whatever it is you love. Self-actualization is the goal. Remind yourself of why you are doing it and it won’t seem like it is draining and a sacrifice.
