“Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
The changing of the seasons is symbolic of the change in our lives. There’s no way of avoiding it. With the change of the seasons, we too must change with it. There are seasons in life. There are seasons to grow and seasons to rest. Seasons to take action and seasons to learn. We must embrace the changes and flow with them. Like Emerson said, do not waste this day on yesterday’s blunders. Embrace the newness in life, even if it is not what you were expecting. Comfort zones are meant to be broken.
Embrace one change this winter. Forget the past and live in this new season. We all must flow with the changes or cease to live.
